A Research Assistant / Programmer position is available starting immediately, in the field
of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, at the Dept. of Biology, McGill
University, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (http://www.biology.mcgill.ca). The
position entails bioinformatic analysis relating to the annotation of genomes,
and the development of databases.

The position is under the supervision of Prof. P. Harrison, Dept. of Biology,
McGill University. The position is for one year, and will be funded by Genome
Quebec and PrioNet Canada.

Previous experience in bioinformatic research is highly desirable.
Programming skills (particularly in C, C++, Perl or Java), are essential.
Experiences of: (i) the annotation of genomes, and (ii) the development
of web pages and databases, are highly desirable.
