ChIP-Seq Database Webinars
Over the past few years, an open system for the creation and dissemination of regulatory sequence annotation data has been developed. This PAZAR database has recently been extended to facilitate the sharing of ChIP-Seq identified regulatory regions. At present we have compiled data from 60 published TF-focused ChIP-Seq experiments and expect the collection to surpass 100 early this year. Several features and associated tools have been implemented in the past year and we are reaching out to the community to introduce the online software.
To introduce the software to potential users, we are conducting a series of information webinars this month. Starting on Wednesday the 11th and continuing for 3 weeks, we will present a series of 30 minute tutorials about the system and associated software tools. At the conclusion of each presentation we will host an open discussion and question-answer period for participants.
All webinars will take place on Wednesdays at 0800 Pacific (Vancouver)/1100 Eastern (New York)/ 1600 Greenwich (London) /1700 central European (Paris/Stockholm) and at impossible times for much of Asia and Australia.
The three sessions in January will include:
11 January 2012: Depositing ChIP-Seq identified regions: sharing your data with collaborators/world
- Summary: A guide for scientists with ChIP-Seq "peaks" who would like to share the data with collaborators or the general public. A convenient means to share the results of ChIP-Seq experiments described in research publications.
18 January 2012: TFBS motif enrichment analysis
- Summary: An introduction to the identification of TFBS patterns enriched within a set of genes or sequences, focusing on the latest version of the oPOSSUM software system. The system supports the analysis of sequences arising from ChIP-Seq experiments.
25 January 2012: Accessing and extracting ChIP-Seq data from the PAZAR database
- Summary: An explanation and guide for users seeking large amounts of ChIP-Seq data for computational analysis. The presentation will focus on efficient means to access data from the PAZAR database.
The webinars will be recorded and available online at www.pazar.info - however we strongly encourage you to participate live.
