Job Description: 

Qualifications and Experience:
We are seeking a full-time bioinformatics software developer for the neuroinformatics platform of the NeuroDevNet Network of Centres of Excellence (NCE). The candidate will report to the neuroinformatics platform manager. He/she will assist in establishing data standards and software systems for the sharing and analysis of data amongst researchers in the Network. We expect qualified candidates will have a degree in computer science and at least two years experience in software development. The ideal candidate will have a background in bioinformatics with experience with biomedical ontologies. Experience in database and web application programming is essential (J2EE, Rails or similar). Programming skills should include at least one scripting language (e.g. PERL or Python), and the candidate must be proficient at working in a Linux-based environment. Specific experience working with clinical, brain imaging and/or genomics data is a plus.
