The CRCHUQ Proteomics Platform is seeking an individual to participate in Web application programming.

The CRCHUQ Proteomics Platform (http://proteomique.crchul.ulaval.ca/en/index.html) aims to make mass-spectrometry oriented proteomics accessible to the scientific community by means of fee-based analytical services and scientific collaborations. The main goal of the platform is to offer top-quality protein analytical services with short turnaround time. Through the use of cutting-edge technologies and continuous innovation, we are able to meet the evolving proteomics needs of today's researchers.

The successful candidate will have to design and implement in collaboration with our bioinformatician Web based tools for data manipulation and analysis. A relational database and tools for integration and presentation of data will have to be developped.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must possess a university-level degree in computational science. Bioinformatics skills will be considered as an advantage.

Ideally the candidate should be/have:
- Knowledgeable and functional in Ruby, HTML, Java and Javascript (AJAX), SQL (MySQL)
- Familiar with UML modelisation and Design patterns concepts
- Advanced skill with MySQL databases creation and administration
- Proficiency in heterogenic environments (Linux, Win. XP, Mac OS) is essential
- Able to use version management software (CVS or Subversion)

Though some degree of bilingualism (English and French) is not required, it will be considered an advantage as the work environment is bilingual.
