Keeping pace with the data: 2008 update on the Bioinformatics Links Directory.
Nucleic Acids Research’s special Web Server Issue 2008 has just recently been released. This special issue focuses on online resources for molecular biology and bioinformatics research. Accompanying this special issue is an article featuring the Bioinformatics Links Directory.
The Bioinformatics Links Directory is an actively maintained collection of specialized servers, databases and resources for computational research in the life sciences. All links are freely accessible to the public, and may be browsed by macromolecular category and research activity subcategory. The 2008 update of the Bioinformatics Links Directory includes the 94 websites highlighted in the July 2008 Web Server issue of Nucleic Acids Research, as well as a number of additional resource tools suggested by input from the bioinformatics research community through links[at]bioinformatics[dot]ca.
